It is narrated from Sayyiduna Dhu'ayb al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send sacrificial camels with him and then say: "If any of them becomes injured and you fear its death, then slaughter it, then dip its sandal in its blood and strike its side with it. Neither you nor any of your companions should eat from it; rather, distribute it." (These are the words of the narration of Yazid bin Zuray', and Khalid bin al-Harith said 'Dhu'ayb bin Qabisah'.)
