Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3923 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَابَلُتِّيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ ذَهَبَ مِنْكُمْ إِلَى الْغَائِطِ فَلَا يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ، وَلَا يُوَلِّهَا ظَهْرَهُ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever of you goes to relieve himself, let him not face the qiblah nor turn his back towards it. Face east or west."
