Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3800 — two roasted lizards (dabb) were brought

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that two roasted lizards (dabb) were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached out his hand to eat, and it was said that it was a lizard, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) held back his hand. Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: O Messenger of Allah, is it unlawful? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, but it is not found in the land of my people, so I find that I have an aversion to it." The narrator said: Then Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) ate it while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was watching him.
