حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ "
The son of Abu Rafi' narrates, while naming the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who took part (in the battles) with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): Sayyiduna Hanzalah bin al-Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him).
