Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 343 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: After me

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي فِتَنٌ يَكُونُ فِيهَا وَيَكُونُ» فَقُلْنَا: إِنْ أَدْرَكْنَا ذَلِكَ هَلَكْنَا؟ قَالَ: «بِحَسْبِ أَصْحَابِي الْقَتْلُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After me there will be trials, in which this will happen and that will happen." We said: If we live to see that time, will we be destroyed? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For my Companions, being killed is sufficient."
