حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مَمْطُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَمَرَ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا بِخَمْسِ كَلِمَاتٍ يَعْمَلُ بِهِنَّ وَيَأْمُرُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنْ يَعْمَلُوا بِهِنَّ» . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ مُوسَى بْنِ خَلَفٍ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Harith al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, commanded Sayyiduna Yahya bin Zakariyya (peace be upon him) with five things: that he himself act upon them and command the Children of Israel to act upon them as well."
