حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا السَّاجيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَهْرِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ سَمْعَانَ أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْمُقْعَدَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَخْبِرْنِي بِأَمْرٍ أَعْتَصِمُ بِهِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «امْلِكْ هَذَا» ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى لِسَانِهِ
Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Tell me of something that I may hold fast to. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep control of this," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed to his tongue.
