الحارث بن ربعي أبو قتادة الأنصاري ثم السلمي " وكان أبو قتادة أحد فرسان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ورضي عنه "
al-Harith bin Ribi, Abu Qatadah al-Ansari al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him), one of the horsemen of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3257 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Our best

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ شَاهِينَ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ فُرْسَانِنَا الْيَوْمَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ» . وَدَعَا لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْمِيضَأَةِ
Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Our best horseman today is Abu Qatadah." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for him on the day of the water-vessel (al-Mida'ah).
