حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ حَلْقَةَ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَسَأَلْتُ أَشْيَاخَهُمْ فِي كَمْ كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالُوا: «فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ أَحْمَرَيْنِ لَيْسَ فِيهِمَا قَمِيصٌ»
Abu Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I came to the gathering of Banu Abd al-Muttalib and asked their elders in how many garments the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had been shrouded. They said: "In two red garments, which did not include a shirt."
