حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ الثُّمَالِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْأَمْرُ الْمُفْظِعُ، وَالْحَمْلُ الْمُضْلِعُ وَالشَّرُّ الَّذِي لَا يَنْقَطِعُ، إِظْهَارُ الْبِدَعِ»
Sayyiduna al-Hakam bin Umayr al-Thumali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most grievous matter, the heaviest burden, and the evil that never ends is the open display of innovations (bid'ah)."
