Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 294 — Sa'd used to dye his hair with black dye.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، «أَنَّ سَعْدًا كَانَ يَخْضِبُ بِالسَّوَادِ»
It is narrated from Amir bin Sa'd that Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his hair with black dye.
