حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: ذَكَرْتُ بِنْتَ حَمْزَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَتَزَوَّجَها، فَقَالَ: «هِيَ ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ»
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I mentioned the daughter of Hamzah to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he might marry her, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is the daughter of my foster brother."
