حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الصُّوفِيُّ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «نِعْمَ الشَّيْءُ الْهَدِيَّةُ أَمَامَ الْحَاجَةِ»
Talhah bin Ubaydullah narrates from Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How excellent a thing is a gift given before the need arises."
