حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غُورَكٍ، ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ التَّغْلِبِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَمَانٍ، عَنْ إِمَامٍ لِبَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَشْيَاخٍ لَهُ " غَزَوُا الرُّومَ، فَنَزَلُوا فِي كَنِيسَةٍ مِنْ كَنَائِسِهِمْ، فَقَرَؤُوا فِي حَجَرٍ مَكْتُوبٍ:

أَيَرْجُو مَعْشَرٌ قَتَلُوا حُسَيْنًا ... شَفَاعَةَ جَدِّهِ يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ
فَسَأَلْنَاهُمْ: مُنْذُ كَمْ بُنِيَتْ هَذِهِ الْكَنِيسَةُ؟ قَالُوا: قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْعَثَ نَبِيُّكُمْ بِثَلَاثِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ ". قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ: وَثنا جَنْدَلُ بْنُ وَالِقٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ غُورَكٍ، ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ غُورَكٍ

An imam of Banu Sulaym narrates from his elders: They set out on a campaign against the Romans and stopped at one of their churches. There they read, written on a stone:
"Does a group that killed Husayn hope for the intercession of his grandfather on the Day of Reckoning?"
We asked them: When was this church built? They said: Three hundred years before your Prophet was sent.
