حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْجَوَادِ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بَعْجَةَ، قَالَ: «أَوَّلُ ذُلٍّ دَخَلَ عَلَى الْعَرَبِ قَتْلُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَادِّعَاءُ زِيَادٍ»
Amr bin Ba'jah narrates: The first humiliation that befell the Arabs was the killing of Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and Ziyad's claim to his lineage.
