حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَائِلٍ أَوْ وَائِلِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ مَا هُنَاكَ، قَالَ: قَامَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: أَفِيكُمْ حُسَيْنٌ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. فَقَالَ: أَبْشِرِ بِالنَّارِ. فَقَالَ: «أَبْشِرْ بِرَبٍّ رَحِيمٍ، وَشَفِيعٍ مُطاعٍ» . قَالَ: «مَنْ أَنْتَ؟» قَالَ: أَنَا ابْنُ جُوَيْزَةَ - أَوْ حُوَيْزَةَ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ حُزْهُ إِلَى النَّارِ» . فَنَفَرَتْ بِهِ الدَّابَّةُ، فَتَعَلَّقَتْ رِجْلُهُ فِي الرِّكَابِ. قَالَ: فَوَاللهِ مَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْهُ إِلَّا رِجْلُهُ "
Ibn Wa'il (or Wa'il bin Alqamah), who was himself present there, said: A man stood up and said: Is Husayn among you? The people said: Yes. He said: Receive the glad tidings of the Fire. Husayn said: "Rather, receive the glad tidings of a Merciful Lord and an intercessor whose intercession is accepted." Husayn asked: Who are you? He said: I am Ibn Juwayzah (or Huwayzah). So Husayn said: "O Allah! Drag him to the Fire." The narrator said: Then his mount bolted, and his foot got caught in the stirrup. By Allah! Nothing of his body remained upon it except his foot.
