Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2803 — Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali said to me one

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَبْلَ قَتْلِهِ بِيَوْمٍ: إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَ لَهُمْ مَلِكٌ. وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Ali bin Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me one day before his martyrdom: "The Children of Israel had a king." Then the narrator related the rest of the hadith.
