حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: «تَذَاكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ مِيلَادَهُمَا عِنْدِي، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْبَرَ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ لِسَنَتَيْنِ وَنِصْفِ الَّتِي عَاشَ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned their births in my presence, and it turned out that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was older than Abu Bakr. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away at the age of sixty-three, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) also passed away at the age of sixty-three, after the two and a half years that he lived after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
