حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا لَيْثٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْخَيَّاطُ الَّذِي قَطَعَ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَمِيصًا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَجْعَلُهُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْقَدَمِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا» . قُلْتُ: فَأَجْعَلُهُ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ: «مَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ فِي النَّارِ»
The tailor who cut a shirt for Sayyiduna al-Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: Shall I make it reach the top of the foot? He said: "No." I said: Then shall I make it reach below the ankles? He said: "Whatever is below the ankles is in the Fire."
