الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه، يكنى أبا عبد الله ذكر مولده وصفته وهيأته رضي الله عنه وكرم الله وجهه وعن أبيه وأمه
al-Husayn bin Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Abdullah: his birth, description and appearance, and his father and mother

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ «سَمَّى ابْنَهُ الْأَكْبَرَ حَمْزَةَ، وَسَمَّى حُسَيْنًا جَعْفَرًا بِاسْمِ عَمِّهِ، فَسَمَّاهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَسَنًا وَحُسَيْنًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he had named his eldest son Hamzah, and had named Husayn Ja'far after his (Husayn's) paternal uncle; then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named the two of them Hasan and Husayn.
