حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، ثنا بَرْذَعَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَمَّيْتُهُمَا - يَعْنِي الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ - بِاسْمِ ابْنَيْ هَارُونَ شَبَرَ وَشُبَيْرَ»
Sayyiduna Salman (al-Farisi) (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have named the two of them - meaning al-Hasan and al-Husayn - after the names of the two sons of Harun (peace be upon him), Shabbar and Shubayr."
