Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2732 — A funeral passed by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّ جِنَازَةً مَرَّتْ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، فَقَامَ أَحَدُهُمَا، وَقَعَدَ الْآخَرُ، فَقَالَ الْقَائِمُ لِلْقَاعِدِ: «أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟» قَالَ: «بَلَى، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ»
Muhammad bin Sirin said: A funeral passed by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Sayyiduna al-Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both). One of them stood up and the other remained seated. The one standing said to the one sitting: "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not stand?" He said: "Yes indeed, but then he sat."
