Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2495 — I pledged allegiance to the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: «بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَكَفَّ يَدَهُ، لِيَشْتَرِطَ عَلَيَّ النُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on Islam, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) held back his hand in order to stipulate for me sincere goodwill towards every Muslim."
