Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2388 — Sayyiduna Jarir urinated and wiped over

Abu Zur'ah narrates: Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated and wiped over his leather socks. Some people objected to this and said: That was before the revelation of Surah al-Ma'idah. He said: "I only accepted Islam after Surah al-Ma'idah was revealed, and I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping except after its revelation."
