Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2356 — When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw that I

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سبابَةَ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَخِي الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْفُقَيْمِيُّ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا أَمْسِكُ شَيْئًا إِنَّمَا أَنَا أُنْفِقُهُ قَالَ: «يَا جَرِيرُ لَا عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تُمْسِكَ عَلَيْكَ مَالَكَ، فَإِنَّ لِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ مُدَّةً»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that I did not keep anything with me but spent it all, he said: "O Jarir, there is no harm if you keep your wealth with you, for this matter too has a set term."
