حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيلٍ الْغَزِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: " بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ، وَصِيَامِ رَمَضَانِ "
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Islam is built upon five things: testifying that there is no true god except Allah, establishing the prayer, giving zakah, performing Hajj to the House (of Allah), and fasting in Ramadan."
