Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (for help), so he urged the people to give charity, until the effect of that could be seen on the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then a man from the Ansar came with some gold and threw it down before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and joy was seen on the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam and it is acted upon after him, he will have its reward and the like of the reward of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their rewards. And whoever introduces an evil practice in Islam and it is acted upon after him, he will bear its burden and the like of the burden of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their burdens."
