Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2290 — When the Prophet ﷺ took a pledge

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَايَعَ بَايَعَ عَلَى شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَالسَّمْعِ، وَالطَّاعَةِ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ، وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»
Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pledge of allegiance, he took it on bearing witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, and on establishing the prayer, paying the zakah, listening to and obeying Allah and His Messenger, and acting sincerely towards every Muslim."
