حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْكَلْبِيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمٌ أَبُو الْهُذَيْلِ، قَالَ: «كُنْتُ رَفًّا عَلَى بَابِ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَكَانَ يَخْرُجُ فَيَرْكَبُ بَغْلَةً لَهُ وَيَحْمِلُ غُلَامَهُ خَلْفَهُ»
Sulaym Abu al-Hudhayl said: I used to be (an attendant) at the door of Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him). When he went out, he would ride his mule and seat his slave behind him.
