حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، ثنا حُجْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جُنَيْدَ بْنَ سَبْعٍ، يَقُولُ: «قَاتَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ كَافِرًا، وَقَاتَلْتُ مَعَهُ آخِرَ النَّهَارِ مُسْلِمًا» وَنَزَلَتْ فِينَا: {وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَاءٌ مُؤْمِنَاتٌ} [الفتح: ٢٥] ، قَالَ: كُنَّا تِسْعَةَ نَفَرٍ سَبْعَةَ رِجَالٍ وَامْرَأَتَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Junayd bin Sab' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: At the beginning of the day I fought against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as a disbeliever, and at the end of the day I fought alongside him as a Muslim. And this verse was revealed about us: "And if not for some believing men and believing women" [Surah al-Fath: 25]. He said: We were nine people, seven men and two women.
