Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21885 — I saw Budayl bin Warqa' at Jam'
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ، ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْحَارِثِ بِنْتِ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ بُدَيْلَ بْنَ وَرْقَاءَ عَلَى جَمْعٍ يَتْبَعُ النَّاسَ فَيُنَادِي: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَصُومُوا هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامَ، فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ»
Sayyidah Umm al-Harith bint Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I saw Budayl bin Warqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) at Jam' (Muzdalifah) following the people and announcing: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commands you not to fast on these days, for they are days of eating and drinking."
