حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِيِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ، فَرَمَى سَبْعًا» ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ، وَلَمْ يَقِفْ وَخَلْفَهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا: الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ
Sayyidah Umm Jundub (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stoning Jamrat al-Aqabah on the Day of Sacrifice from the bottom of the valley, and he was saying: "O people, do not kill one another, and stone with pebbles the size of small flicking-pebbles." He (peace and blessings be upon him) threw seven pebbles, then departed and did not stop, and behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) was a man shielding him (peace and blessings be upon him) from the people. I asked: "Who is this?" The people said: "This is al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both)."
