Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21844 — I heard the Prophet ﷺ while he ﷺ was

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَهُ مُتَلَفِّعٌ بِهَا، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: إِنْ «أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُجَدَّعٌ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ مَا أَقَامَ، فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللهِ تَعَالَى»
Sayyidah Umm al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wrapped in his cloak, and he was saying: "If a mutilated Abyssinian slave is appointed as your ruler, then listen to him, so long as he establishes among you the Book of Allah Almighty."
