Chapter: Women known by their kunyahs whose names have not reached us, among the female Companions; among them is Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) — Reports Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated

حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا عَفَّانُ، ثنا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، أَنَّ: " النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْتِيهَا فَيَقِيلُ عِنْدَهَا، فَتَبْسُطُ لَهُ نِطَعًا فَيَقِيلُ عَلَيْهِ، وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ الْعَرَقِ، فَكَانَتْ تَجْمَعُ عَرَقَهُ فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي الطِّيبِ وَالْقَوَارِيرِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَتْ: عَرَقُكَ نَجْعَلُهُ فِي الطِّيبِ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَة "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come to her and take his midday rest at her house. She would spread out a leather mat for him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would rest on it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sweat a great deal, so she would collect his (peace and blessings be upon him) sweat and put it into perfume and small bottles. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is this?" She said: "Your sweat, which we mix into perfume." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on a small prayer mat.
