حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: " لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ سَمَّانِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: طَلْحَةَ الْخَيْرِ، وَيَوْمَ غَزْوَةِ ذَاتِ الْعَشِيرَةِ: طَلْحَةَ الْفَيَّاضَ، وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ طَلْحَةَ الْجُودِ "
Musa bin Talhah narrates from his father; he said: On the day of Uhud the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named me "Talhah al-Khayr" (Talhah of goodness), on the day of the expedition of Dhat al-Ushayrah "Talhah al-Fayyad" (Talhah the overflowing in generosity), and on the day of Hunayn "Talhah al-Jud" (Talhah of bounty).
