باب من يعرف من النساء بالكنى لمن لم ينته إلينا أسماؤهن ممن لهن صحبة فمنهن أم كلثوم بنت عقبة بن أبي معيط امرأة عبد الرحمن بن عوف — ما أسندت أم أيمن
Chapter: Women known by their kunyahs whose names have not reached us, among the female Companions; among them is Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) — Reports Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفًّى، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «زَوَّجَ ابْنَتَهُ فَاطِمَةَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى يَجِيئَهُ فَجَاءَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married his daughter Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and instructed him not to go in to his wife until he (peace and blessings be upon him) himself had come. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them; then the narrator related the rest of the hadith.
