Abu Abd al-Rahman al-San'ani (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that Sayyiduna Junadah al-Azdi (may Allah be pleased with him) led some people in prayer. When he stood for the prayer, he turned to his right and asked: "Are you pleased (with me)?" The people said: "Yes." Then he did the same to his left, and then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever leads a people in prayer while they dislike him, his prayer does not go beyond his collarbone."
