حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، مَوْلَاةِ أُمِّ عَطِيَّة، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ فِي النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي أَهْدَيْنَ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا اغْتَسَلَتْ فَصَبُّوا الْمَاءَ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثَ صَبَّاتٍ» قَالَ يَحْيَى فَقُلْتُ لِشَرِيكٍ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ
Umm Habibah, the freed slave-woman of Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates from Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I was among the women who took one of the daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a bride to her husband, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "When she bathes, pour water over her head three times." Yahya said: I asked Sharik: Is this about the ritual bath (ghusl) for major impurity (janabah)? He said: Yes.
