Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21631 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Sayyiduna

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ صُبْحٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ شَرَاحِيلَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بَعَثَ عَلِيًّا فِي سَرِيَّةٍ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ لَا تُمِتْنِي حَتَّى تُرِيَنِي عَلِيًّا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) with a military detachment. (She said:) Then I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands and saying: "O Allah, do not let me die until You show me Ali (safe and sound)."
