حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: «أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الْبَيْعَةِ عِنْدَ الْبَيْعَةِ أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ، فَمَا وَفَّى مِنْهُنَّ غَيْرُ خَمْسٍ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأُمُّ الْعَلَاءِ وَبِنْتُ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ وَأُمُّ مُعَاذٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ وَامْرَأَةٌ أُخْرَى»
Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: At the time of the pledge of allegiance, a pledge was taken from us that we would not wail (over the dead), yet none among us fulfilled it except five: Umm Sulaym, Umm al-Ala', the daughter of Abu Sabrah, Umm Mu'adh bint Abi Sabrah, and one other woman.
