حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ثنا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ، قَالَتْ: «أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ، فِيمَا أَخَذَ أَنْ لَا يَنُحْنَ، فَمَا وَفَّى مِنْهُنَّ، إِلَّا فُلَانَةُ وَفُلَانَةُ وَأُمُّ فُلَانٍ»
Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Among the pledges the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took from the women was that they would not wail (over the dead), yet none of them fulfilled it except so-and-so, so-and-so, and the mother of so-and-so.
