حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْخَفَّافُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: لِنُعْمَى بِنْتِ جَعْفَرٍ: مَا لِي " أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ أَنْضَاءَ أَبِهِمْ حَاجَةٌ؟ قَالَتْ: لَا وَلَكِنَّهُمْ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ الْعَيْنُ أَفَأَرْقِيهِمْ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَعَرَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ كَلَامًا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ فَقَالَ: ارْقِيهِمْ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Nu'ma bint Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with her): "What is the matter? I see the bodies of the children of Ja'far weak and emaciated. Are they in some need?" She said: No, but the evil eye afflicts them quickly. Shall I perform ruqyah (recite incantations) over them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." So she presented to him (peace and blessings be upon him) words in which there was no harm, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ruqyah over them."
