حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زُرَيْقِ الرَّاسِبِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ آمِنَةَ بِنْتِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: أَفْتِنَا عَنِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّهَا حَاجِبٌ مِنَ النَّارِ، لِمَنْ أَحْسَنَهَا يَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Sayyidah Maymunah bint Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Give us a ruling about charity. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a shield from the Fire for the one who gives it well, seeking by it the pleasure of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
