Sa'd bin Ishaq bin Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his paternal aunt Zaynab bint Ka'b, from Sayyidah Furay'ah (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that she said: My husband went out in search of some non-Arab labourers, until, when he reached the edge of al-Qadum, they caught him and killed him. So I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My husband has been killed at the edge of al-Qadum, and my husband has left me neither a house nor any wealth, and I wish to move to my brothers so that our affairs may be better ordered. He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me permission, and I set off, until, when I was in part of the room, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me and said: "Remain in the same house in which the news of your husband's death reached you, until the waiting period ('iddah) is completed."
