Abu Murrah, the freed slave of Aqil bin Abi Talib (may Allah have mercy on him), relates that Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) informed him that she brought two men of Banu Makhzum on the day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Makkah. Then Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her and said: "What is this, O Umm Hani? I will certainly kill them." She said: So I locked the door on them. Then I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I found him (peace and blessings be upon him) taking a bath, while his daughter Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) was screening him with a garment. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took his bath, then took the garment and wrapped himself in it, then prayed the Duha (forenoon) prayer, eight rak'ahs. Then he said: "O Umm Hani! What is the matter with you?" I said: "I have granted protection to two men from among my in-laws, and Ali came, wanting to kill them." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We too have given security to whomever you gave security, and granted protection to whomever you granted protection."
