حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَا: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ثنا أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ، ثنا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ بَاذَامَ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، أَنَّ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: {وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ} [العنكبوت: ٢٩] ، قَالَ: «كَانُوا يَجْلِسُونَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَيَحْذِفُونَ ابْنَ السَّبِيلِ، وَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ»
Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this verse: "And you commit evil in your gatherings" [al-Ankabut: 29], and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They used to sit by the road, throw stones at the travellers and mock them."
