حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ قَاعِدَةً عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُتِيَ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا قَدْ أَتَيْتُ حَدَثًا قَالَ: «وَمَا ذَاكَ؟» قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ صَائِمَةً فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ يَدَكَ فَشَرِبْتُ، قَالَ: «مِنْ صَوْمٍ كُنْتِ تَقْضِيهِ؟» قَالَتْ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَلَا يَضُرُّكِ»
Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a drink was brought to him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, then handed it to me, and I also drank from it. I said: O Messenger of Allah! I think I have committed a fault. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is that?" I said: I was fasting, but I disliked turning back your hand, so I drank. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Was it a fast that you were making up?" I said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then it does you no harm."
