Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2129 — the Prophet ﷺ passed by him while

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، ثنا رِزْقُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَرْهَدٍ، عَنْ جَرْهَدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ، فَقَالَ: «غَطِّهَا فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarhad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him while his thigh was uncovered, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cover it, for it is part of the awrah."
