حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: كَتَبْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ فِيهَا قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ فَطَلَّقَنِي ألْبَتَّةَ، فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ أَطْلُبُ النَّفَقَةَ، فَقَالُوا: لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْنَا نَفَقَةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْهِمْ نَفَقَةٌ، وَعَلَيْكِ الْعِدَّةُ، فَانْتَقِلِي إِلَى أُمِّ شَرِيكٍ، وَلَا تُفَوِّتِينَا بِنَفْسِكِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أُمَّ شَرِيكٍ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا إِخْوَانُهَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ، وَلَكِنِ انْتَقِلِي إِلَى ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ، وَإِنْ وَضَعْتِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا»
Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I wrote this down from the mouth of Sayyidah Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) (as I heard it). She said: I was married to a man of Banu Makhzum, and he divorced me irrevocably. I sent word to his family seeking maintenance, and they said: "You have no maintenance due from us." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have no maintenance due from them, and you must observe the waiting period; move to the house of Umm Sharik, and do not decide about yourself without us." Then he said: "Her brothers from among the first Muhajirun visit Umm Sharik; rather, move to the house of Ibn Umm Maktum, for his sight has gone; if you take something off, he will not see anything."
