حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ: انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ الْحَدِيثِ أُخْتِي، فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَصْحَابُهُ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ: «أَنَّ ابْنَةً لِحَمْزَةَ، وَهِيَ أُخْتٌ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ لِأُمِّهِ مَاتَ مَوْلَاهَا، وَتَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَابْنَةَ حَمْزَةَ، فَقَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَالَ نِصْفَيْنِ»
Salamah bin Kuhayl said: I reached Abdullah bin Shaddad while he was narrating hadith to the people, and I heard him say "my sister" at the end of the hadith. So I asked the people, and they told me that he had been narrating to them: "A daughter of Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), who is the maternal sister of Abdullah bin Shaddad bin al-Had, had a freed slave who died and left behind his daughter and bint Hamzah, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) divided the wealth in halves."
